The Majestic HimayatMango: A Taste Fit for Royalty

In Hyderabad, the Himayat mango variety, also known as Imam Pasand, found its way from its origin in Tamil Nadu. However, it was the Nizams of Hyderabad who truly embraced its exquisite texture and flavor, cultivating it extensively in their orchards and transforming it into an iconic Hyderabadi delicacy.

Legend has it that the Nizam presented this regal fruit to the Queen of England, who was so enamored by its taste that she insisted on receiving a yearly supply. The tale goes that during the 1990s, when a shipment of Himayat failed to reach her, she expressed her disappointment to the government, highlighting the mango's exceptional status.

Himayat mangoes are renowned for their unparalleled quality and commanding price during the season. Devotees of this mango willingly pay a premium for its unmatched taste and creamy texture, which rivals a scoop of custard. With its fiberless flesh, slender peel, and perfect sweetness, each mango, weighing between 450gms to 800gms, is a gastronomic delight.

At AR4, we've had the privilege of gifting Himayat mangoes to dignitaries, celebrities, and top executives, both nationally and internationally. The joy of presenting this esteemed fruit is palpable among our customers, who often share anecdotes and stories associated with this cherished gift.

To experience the true essence of Himayat, aficionados swear by a simple method – slicing the mango into halves, scooping out the flesh with a spoon, and relishing each bite. The satisfaction derived from indulging in a ripe Himayat mango is unparalleled, filling the room with its heavenly aroma.

With 600 trees of Himayat in our orchard, we were once asked what we would do if we couldn't sell them all. The answer, provided by our own children, reflects the deep-rooted love for this mango – "We will eat them all." Such is the allure and madness inspired by the Himayat mango among its enthusiasts.

In conclusion, the Himayatmango stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage and culinary excellence of India. Its journey from the orchards of Tamil Nadu to the palates of royalty exemplifies its status as a fruit fit for kings and queens. With each bite, one can savor not just the sweetness of the mango but also the stories and traditions that accompany it, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
